Visit the Health Nook 

The Health Nook, on the First Floor of the Library, is a place to learn about and take charge of your health. It offers resources like databases, Healing Kits, graphic medicine books, and health information from various organizations. You can research health conditions, borrow kits with information on sensitive topics, and find health literacy resources. Professional library staff are available for support.

Healing Kits

The Healing Library offers support kits designed to assist individuals and families facing difficult circumstances or those helping someone in need. Each kit features carefully curated books for all age groups - from children to adults. The kits also include information on community resources, recommended reading lists, therapeutic activity suggestions, and a personal journal for reflection. FULL LIST OF HEALING KITS

These kits were developed wit hthe support and guidance of the Reading Coalition for Prevention and Support, Reading Public School's Behavioral Health department, RESPOND, Inc., and funding from an LSTA IMLS Grant.
