Summer Events at the Library

Check out our Summer Programming!

Join RPL’s Summer of Story! Take part in the three-part workshop, learn the history of cartooning, and create your own work. Designed to nurture your inner cartoonist.

And your favorite librarians are back again with book recommendations for your beach bag. Summer Sizzlers happens on Friday, June 13th!

Join visiting artist Kim Bernard and her PopUpCycler and transform plastic trash into art. After collecting #2 plastic milk, water, and juice jugs, participants will clean, cut, shred and extrude them into a colorful collaborative sculpture installation that will raise environmental awareness.

This summer, RPL is Branching Out. We’ve got Reader’s Reef happening on Friday, June 20th. Dive into summer reading with our first Branching Out event. Swim your way through activities, games, and some reading challenges, all done in one hour!

Our Friends Speaker Series, sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library, continues to inspire us with best-selling authors and engaging speakers. This spring, we are looking forward to Lisa Jewell and Casey McQuiston

Special thanks to the Friends of the Reading Public Library for generously funding many of our programs.
