2024 Summer Reading for Kids

How it Works
Children entering grades K-6 can participate. Stop by the Children’s Room on or after June 14 to pick up your Stick with Summer Reading bookmark. As you go through the summer, scratch off and complete activities to earn stickers. And then do it all over again! This summer, we hope that you stick with summer reading while you try new books, activities, programs, and more.
Can You Spot Spot?
Our giraffe friend will be hidden around storefronts in Reading from June 14 until July 26. Once you spot him, head to the library for a raffle ticket for a chance to win a portable karaoke machine. There will be 6 winners.
100 Books of Summer
Children in preschool or younger can challenge themselves to read 100 books this summer. Stop in to pick up your supplies at any point this summer. These 100 books can count toward your beginning or continuing 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
