The Reading Public Library has Chromebooks for patrons to borrow through our library circulating collection. The Chromebook 3100 2-in-1 laptop is a basic laptop with the Chrome web browser loaded. You will be able to search the internet, create documents through Google Workspace (formally G Suite), and use Zoom, an online virtual meeting app.
Chromebooks are available to anyone ages 18 or older or students ages 14-18 (with parental or guardian permission) with a valid library card.
To get started with the process, place a hold on a Chromebook, and fill out the online Chromebook agreement form.
You will be notified by your preferred notification method (email/phone/text) when your Chromebook is available for pick up.
Chromebooks circulate for two weeks and must be borrowed and returned to the Borrower Services desk.
